ROCKIN’ ROBBINS CONCERT FEATURING SAKLAMARA— SATURDAY, JULY 19TH, 6:00 PM

We’re excited to welcome Saklamara to this summer’s Rockin’ Robbins concert series!

Fronted by Arlington’s own Anthony Geannaris, owner of Anthony’s Barber Styling in East Arlington and lifelong musician, Saklamara is a dynamic world music ensemble known for their high-energy, genre-blending sound.

Fusing Eastern Mediterranean and Slavic folk traditions with funk, jazz, blues, and pop, Saklamara delivers layered performances rich with bouzoukis, saxophone, upright bass, drums, percussion, and powerful vocals. Their joyful, cross-cultural sound has made them a Porchfest favorite and a standout at local venues like the Capitol Theatre and the Middle East.

Joining Anthony is powerhouse vocalist and Berklee College of Music graduate Alena Sorokina (Aly), whose Russian folk roots and classical training bring emotional depth and artistry to the group’s arrangements. The full ensemble features Ken Paynter on upright bass, Larry Terry on saxophone, percussion, and vocals, Colonel Ron on electric bass, Stroker on keys, and Daved Mitchell on drums.

This free, all-ages concert promises a vibrant evening of global rhythms and community spirit at Robbins Farm Park. Don’t miss it!
