Spring Cleanup & Kite Day — Saturday, April 24th, 9am Bring your trowels, rakes, leaf rakes, shovels and pruning shears and meet your neighbors at the Park! And while we’re there, we’ll celebrate the crocus, daffodils and tulips planted at Robbins Farm Park last fall! At 1pm, bring your kites as well and hope for good wind at one of the area’s best kite-flying locations. FoRFP Volunteer Dick Harmer, our neighborhood “Kite Man,” will bring his fantastic collection of colorful kites to share with the kids and will provide instruction.
Independence Day Concert and Picnic ————On the 4th of July, Arlington will again celebrate America’s birthday in style at Robbins Farm Park. There will be musical entertainment provided by the The Reminisants. Starting at 5:30 pm, our favorite Oldies Band, The Reminisants will entertain us as for the first time since the fields were shut down for reconstruction 5 years ago! Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner for our traditional Concert and be prepared to DANCE! The event is free and open to all. It’s as American as Apple Pie, so of course we’ll have some for sale along with drinks at modest prices to help support the event. Get your seats on the hill early be cause this year our event ends before dark at 7:30 pm as directed by the Town.
Harvard Alumni Jazz Band ——— Thursday, July 15th, 6:30 pm Join us on for a free jazz concert by the Alumni Jazz Band, a 15-piece jazz big band with members from Arlington and surrounding communities. After a few years at the nearby Park Circle Water Tower, we are pleased that the concert returns to our usual venue in the Park. Enjoy the music of Count Basie, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, and many others! The concert is FREE thanks to the generosity of the band, which includes neighborhood resident Allen Feinstein. This is a great event for all ages. We encourage people to bring your own picnic dinner. Cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, this will be our 12th Annual Jazz Concert!
Rockin’ Robbins Concert ——— Sunday, August 15th, Stanley & The Undercovers, 5:30 pm By popular demand, the band returns for their 4th Rockin’ Robbins with their terrific takes on rock and roll classics. The concert is FREE thanks to the generosity of the band, Stanley & The Undercovers (featuring Stanley Pollack who lives right in our Park neighborhood). This is a great event for all ages. We encourage people to bring a picnic dinner.
Classical Concert (Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra) ———— Saturday, August 28th, 3:30 pm (Raindate: Sunday Aug 29, 3:30 pm) Join us for a free classical music concert with performers from the Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra with members from Arlington and surrounding communities. The concert is FREE and features music by a variety of composers. This is a great event for all ages. We encourage people to bring their own picnic. The orchestra will perform up the hill at the Robbins History Project (the Dog and the House)

Movie Night —— Saturday, September 11th, 7:30 pmThe Friends again presents our popular movie night, featuring Raya and the Last Dragon. The event is free and open to all. PIzza, snacks and drinks will be sold beginning at 6:30 pm and the movie will start at 7:30 pm. Bring a picnic blanket and your family (ending time between 9:30-10 pm)
Annual Field Day —— Saturday, October 16th, 1 pm to 4 pm This family-oriented event will include old-fashioned races (3-legged, egg-on-the spoon, sack race, etc.) and a nature scavenger hunt. Seasonal refreshments will be available for a nominal charge. Note: For safety reasons we will not have face painting or the usual bouncy houses this year.
Fall Cleanup Day —— Saturday, November 6th, 9 am to 12 pm
Come and meet the Robbins Farm Community at our fall cleanup! Join us to rake, remove invasive species, and spruce up the park before winter.
- Feel free to bring your own rake, shovel, pruning shears (label them, please) OR we will sanitize any shared equipment we provide
- If you are NOT fully vaccinated, please wear a mask at all times during cleanup
- AHS Students who volunteer are eligible for community service hours.
