Spring Cleanup & Kite Day — Sunday, May 17th, Cleanup 9:30 am – 12 noon
(Kite Flying starts at 11 am)
Come and meet the Robbins Farm community at our Spring Cleanup! Join us to rake, remove invasive species, and spruce up the Park.
Please bring your own gloves, we will supply any necessary tools.
AHS Students who volunteer are eligible for community service hours.

At 11:30 am, Kite Flying begins!
During the Cleanup, we’ll provide free Kites that you can decorate. We encourage all kids and their families to bring their kites as well. We’ll hope for good wind at one of the area’s best kite-flying locations. This is a Robbins Farm Park tradition along with the annual Spring Cleanup.
The event is free, open to all.

Robins & Friends Art Day — Saturday, May 30th, 1-3 pm
Join us for a creative afternoon at Robbins Farm Park, when children can make a fun art project led by art teacher Kathy Lobo. In this hands-on workshop, families will have the chance to sew their ownthree-dimensional birds using cotton bird shapes, button eyes, and decorations. If you prefer to draw, we’ll supply paper, bird books, and art supplies to inspire beautiful 2D bird creations.

CLASSICAL CONCERT (ARLINGTON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA) ———— SATURDAY, June 13TH, 3:30 PM
Join us for a free classical music concert with performers from the Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra with members from Arlington and surrounding communities. The concert is FREE and features music by a variety of composers. This is a great event for all ages. We encourage people to bring their own picnic dinner. Please note the new 5 pm time for the concert.

Independence Day Concert and Picnic — With The BIG SCREEN! —Saturday, July 4th, 6 pm
On the 4th of July, we will again celebrate America’s birthday in style at Robbins Farm Park. Our entertainment includes a Live Band PLUS a BIG SCREEN Presentation!
The event is free and open to all.
Our Independence Day Celebration starts at 6:00 pm, our favorite Oldies Band, The Reminisants will entertain us once again! Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner for our traditional FREE Concert and be prepared to DANCE! It’s as American as Apple Pie (and Pizza Pie), so of course we’ll have some for sale along with drinks.
Get your seats on the hill. After the music we’ll be showing the BOSTON POPS ESPLANADE CONCERT and BOSTON FIREWORKS broadcast Live on the BIG SCREEN. [Note that the fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:40 pm, a bit earlier than in previous years].

Rockin’ Robbins Concert Featuring Dan Fox and the Arlington Express — Tuesday, July 14th, TIME TBD
We’re excited to welcome Dan Fox and the Arlington Express to this summer’s Rockin’ Robbins concert series!
Dan is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist-on trombone, drums, and bass-and a Berklee College of Music graduate with an accomplished career concerts, international festivals, radio, and television. He has performed with groups including the Boston Pops Swing Orchestra, Gene Krupa Orchestra, Cab Calloway Orchestra, and The Either/Orchestra, and at venues such as the Kennedy Center, Newport Jazz Festival, and Monterey Jazz Festival.
In addition to performing, Dan is deeply committed to music education and community building. His Morningside program, founded in 2007, has grown into one of New England’s largest ensemble programs, connecting students through local performances and international experiences in places like New Orleans, Italy, Spain, and Cuba.
Dan also founded the Arlington Jazz Festival 15 years ago, a nonprofit that brings together top performers, local ensembles, and students while strengthening Arlington’s cultural identity.
Arlington Express is a high-energy jazz-funk ensemble featuring Larry Terry on alto sax, Steve Monahan on electric bass, Neal Itzler on guitar, and Dan Fox on drums. The group’s Arlington roots run deep-Larry and Dan are local residents, and Steve teaches at Morningside. Larry is widely admired for his expressive saxophone style and has performed jazz and R&B with numerous groups, including Saklamara. He is also a visual artist whose work has been featured at Town Hall through Arts Arlington. Steve Monahan is a sought-after freelance bassist in the Boston area and a versatile instructor across genres. Neal Itzler is an accomplished performer and educator who teaches ensembles at Berklee and has performed extensively in Boston and New York.Berklee and has performed extensively in Boston and New Yor

JAZZ CONCERT Wednesday July 29, Time TBD – HARVARD ALUMNI JAZZ BAND
Join us for a free jazz concert by the Harvard Alumni Jazz Band, a 17-piece jazz big band with members from Arlington and surrounding communities. Our concert will be at our usual venue in the Park. Enjoy the music of Count Basie, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, and many others! The concert is FREE thanks to the generosity of the band, which includes neighborhood resident Allen Feinstein. This is a great event for all ages. We encourage people to bring your own picnic dinner. This will be our 16th Annual Jazz Concert!

Movie Night ———— Saturday, September 12th, TIME TBD
Join us for Robbins Farm Movie Night Sat, Sept 12, MOVIE TO BE DETERMINED. This is a FREE event and open to all! We will sell pizza, popcorn and drinks starting at 6:30 pm. The movie will start at ___ and end around ____. Bring a picnic blanket, chairs, and settle in to enjoy the entertainment.

Annual Field Day —— Saturday, October (Date TBD), 1 pm to 4 pm
FIELD DAY returns again this year! Please join us for a fun-filled afternoon of activities and seasonal refreshments. This family-oriented event will include old-fashioned races (3-legged, egg-on-the spoon, sack race, etc.), games (e.g. cornhole), information on the history of Robbins Farm and a scavenger hunt.
Seasonal refreshments including apple cider, apple cider donuts and apple pie as well as pizza will be available for a nominal charge.
Arlington Town Day —— Saturday, September 19th, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Stop by our booth (#243) at Town Day between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to find out more about the Friends of Robbins Farm Park, the events we host and how you can get involved. We’ll also have some T-shirts for sale.

ARLINGTON ASTRONOMY NIGHTS ’26 AT ROBBINS FARM PARK — HOSTED BY JEFF ALEXANDER

Astronomy Night, a seasonal opportunity for residents to view the night sky through a telescope, returned for the summer Saturday, June 21, at 8:30 p.m. The next event is July 12.
Local resident Jeffrey Alexander hosts these viewings multiple nights throughout the summer in Robbins Farm Park, by the benches that overlook Boston. Each evening the group has a specific target in mind — Saturday’s viewing is focused on catching a glimpse of Mars.
These viewings are informal events that are fun and educational for all ages. Those under five years old may have difficulty looking through the eyepiece of a telescope.
