2006 Robbins Farm Park Events
If you have an event at Robbins Farm Park or in the neighborhood and would like to post it here on the web site, or are interested in volunteering to help out at one of our events, please get in touch with us at:
  • Spring Clean-Up Day ——- Saturday, April 29th, 9am to 12pm
    Bring your trowels, rakes, leaf rakes, shovels and pruning shears and meet your neighbors at the Park! And while we’re there, we’ll celebrate the crocus, daffodils and tulips planted at Robbins Farm Park last fall!

  • Kite Day ——- Saturday, May 6th, 1pm to 4pm
    Join us for this popular event which this year is co-sponsored by the Arlington Center for the Arts as a part of their Asian Arts Festival.
  • Independence Day Celebration——- Tuesday, July 4th
    On the 4th of July, Arlington will again celebrate America’s birthday in style at Robbins Farm Park. There will be musical entertainment from the John Penny Band (starting at 7:00), refreshments, and of course, the Boston Pops Orchestra and Fireworks on the giant screen (fireworks start at 10:30). The event is free and open to all.

    Tonight’s film will be “Princess Bride” starring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright Penn, Billy Crystal, and Mandy Patinkin – “Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale”.The feature will start at 8:30pm and be preceded by several short films..

  • Shakespeare in the Park ——- Sunday, August 6th at 5 pm
    This year’s play will be held at Menotomy Rocks Park .
  • Friday Night Flicks ——-Friday, August 25th, 8pm >>>CANCELLED Due to Rain<<<
    Tonight’s feature film will be “The Princess Bride” , originally scheduled for July 28th, but cancelled due to rain.

  • Arlington Town Day ——Saturday, September 9th
    Come by the FORFP booth and say hello!

  • Red Sox Baseball——-Friday, September 15th, 6:30pm. >>>CANCELLED <<< Back by popular demand, join us for baseball under the stars as we again present a live TV broadcast of the Red Sox. Tonight the Sox meet the New York Yankees from New York.

  • Annual Field Day ——-Saturday, October 14th, 1pm to 5pm
    Come to our annual Field Day which will include great races, a moon walk, face painting, sack race, food, music and lots more.

  • Family Portrait DaySunday Oct. 22th, 9:00am to 4:00pm (Rain Date, Saturday, Oct. 28)
    The Friends of Robbins Farm Park and talented photographer and Arlington resident Robert Forté will be taking portraits in the park – families, couples or individuals welcome! You can see his work on his web site at RKForté Photography .

  • Fall Clean-up Day —— Sunday, October 29th, 12pm to 2pm
    Join us for our fall clean up day and a chance to help plant next season’s bulbs.
