Robbins Farm Park Playground now OPEN – Guidelines

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE TOWN OF ARLINGTON
Arlington Playgrounds Now Open, Please Play Responsibly

This includes basketball courts, tennis courts, and Thorndike Dog Park.
Peirce Field to open June 16th after Town Meeting.

Visitors to playgrounds shall:

  • Wear a face covering or mask when it is not possible to maintain 6 feet of distance between themselves and others.
  • All visitors shall maintain 6 feet from all other persons who are not part of the same household.
  • If social distancing is not possible, visitors are encouraged to wait outside of the park/playground until it is less crowded or should seek alternative play facilities.
  • Any individual who feels sick or is recovering from an illness shall not visit the park/playground.
  • After visiting the park/playground, visitors are encouraged to wash hands or use hand sanitizer.

Arlington parks and the bike path continue to remain open. Visitors to those areas are reminded of State orders to wear a facial covering when they cannot properly social distance (stay 6 feet away from others). Additionally, organized sports, contact sports and groups larger than 10 are not allowed at this time on any public lands.

OFF-LEASH DOG REGULATIONS REMINDERS   

Parks are shared spaces for everyone’s enjoyment.
Off-leash hours are between 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and dogs are to be kept off baseball diamonds at all times. Dogs can easily damage these playing fields. Please be advised that any resident with a dog that is off leash in an unapproved location and/or time can be cited. Citations are also given for failing to clean up after your dog. For failing to do so, there is a $75 fine for the first offense with increased fines for subsequent offenses. A list of these fines may be viewed at
